Turkey is importing around
75% of energy consumption. Turkey uses approximately 40% of
energy consumption in industry, 30-32% in housing and service
sector and 19-20% consumed in the transport sector. The
distribution of energy resources consumed approximately 30-35%
of natural gas, 30-33% of oil and 25-30% of coal. More than 90%
of these imported sources consist of oil and natural gas. Oil
and natural gas reserves in Turkey are very limited, the amount
of coal reserves is big, but has poor quality and problematic
for the environment. Renewable resources are not adequately
assessed.
The increase in world and Turkey energy consumption and in
parallel with the change of environmental conditions has reached
levels that cannot be denied. Greenhouse gases are causing
global warming, mainly exposed by using fossil fuels and are
increasing.
According to greenhouse gas emissions reduction the United
Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in 2005 was put
into force for the countries listed in Annex-I introduced a
number of requirements.
Turkey as one of the countries with large part of the semi-arid
climate under the influence and the most affected by global
warming participate in ''the United Nations Climate Change
Framework Contract'' (with special conditions) in 2004 as the
189th country and according to this agreement in 2009 Kyoto
Protocol was accepted and entered into force in parliament.
Turkey after the 2008-2012 transition period, will have to
fulfill the protocol's obligations.
The energy crisis and global warming aspects those often on the
agenda in the World, more careful planning of the country energy
policies (resources, foreign dependence, domestic energy sources,
clean energy and environment, health policies, practices,
sustainability, pricing policies), and the economy's energy
dependence led to take measures to reduce.
Because of all these reasons, it is offered to use energy
consumption from domestic and renewable energy sources, to use
the energy efficiently and greenhouse gas emissions is essential
to bring to the desired value in Turkey and other countries in
the world.
In accordance with laws and regulations generated in Turkey some

energy consumption and some of these applications were included
in state support.

Steps of survey works:
Pre-Survey Application: Company and company's energy profile

analysis, the state of the company's energy management,

for energy efficiency, the approximate cost, approximate payback
period, a necessary work and work programs for detailed energy

Detailed Survey Application: According to the results of pre-survey
measurement and analysis applications are made for detailed
studies those should be evaluated in the context. According to a
data from results of this analysis the company's energy
efficiency potential is determined (fallibility is taken as -/+
